Joyce is the visionary that leads the business strategy and is hands on in the product development and creative process to develop new Collections. She also works closely with all departments to ensure that the vision translates throughout the company whether it is for marketing, customer service or sales. Joyce is an experienced entrepreneur with a strong business management background who has successfully established and led seven organizations in the private and not-for-profit sector. These include establishing and leading BIOTECanada, a national organization that acted on behalf the Canadian biotechnology industry, AbNovo a small private health care firm in Vancouver and Natural Program, a Vancouver firm specializing in the nutraceutical sector. Joyce acted in the capacity as President in all of these positions. She has considerable experience with successful interim management situations and moving organizations through periods of transition. The development of business strategies, business plans, and forging partnerships and alliances have all been key elements to this success. She possesses strength in building teams and is a skilled marketing and public/media relations practitioner. She has also been involved in a number of Boards either as a Director or as Chair. Joyce received her Masters of Science degree in Genetics at the University of Alberta and her Masters of Business Administration at Ottawa University.
